LOUISBURG, NC — The #7 Hurricanes men's basketball team improved their conference record to 10-2, 19-4 overall, with a 109-79 thrashing of Lenoir CC, Saturday afternoon.    

The Canes had five players hit for double-digits including a pair of double-doubles as Trey Brown (Newport News, VA/Fork Union Military) scored 16 and pulled down 12 boards , while Josh Davis (Hampton, VA/Phoebus HS) went for 11 points and 12 rebounds.

TJ Wilson (Hallsboro, NC/East Columbus HS) led Louisburg in scoring as he dropped 18, including 3-6 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe. Marcus Freeman (Williamston, NC/Riverside HS) and Tyrice Thomas (Norfolk, VA/Tallwood HS) were the other two Hurricanes with double-digit efforts as they each scored 12 points, and they each hauled in eight rebounds.

The Hurricanes will play their next two games on the road, the first on Monday night when they travel to Vance-Granville CC in Henderson. Opening tip in the Region X game is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
