LOUISBURG, NC —The Lady Canes basketball team closed out a very busy week with a 74-71 loss to Cape Fear CC , Sunday afternoon. LC had a strong second half but it wasn't enough to overcome a 14 point lead that the Sea Devils took to the halftime break.

Five Hurricanes hit for double-digits, with Courtney Raiford (Greenwood, SC/Greenwood) leading the way at 13 points. The sophomore guard also swiped five boards and dished out six assists in the conference loss.

Christian Washington (Temple Hills, MD/Archbishop Carroll HS) and Kiara Rawls (Killeen, TX/Shoemaker HS) finished just behind Raiford as they scored 11 and ten, respectively.  

Sycoya Dorsey (Richmond, VA/Meadowbrook HS) and Kennethea Galloway (Reidsville, NC/Reidsville HS) also hit for double-digits as they each scored ten points.

The Lady Canes (12-5) will hit the road for a nonconference game on Tuesday when they travel to Spartanburg Methodist College (11-11) for a 5:00 pm start.
